SALTO Green
What is it?
The SALTO (Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities) resource center on ecological transition covers all sectors of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programs. It contributes to meeting the challenges posed by climate change, in line with the Green Pact for Europe.
It is aimed at three different levels of players:
- the staff of the 55 National Agencies, helping them to analyze, evaluate and support eco-responsible project practices, and guiding them towards an eco-responsible approach.
- the Erasmus+ ecosystem and CES by contributing to the priority given to environmental protection, sustainability and the fight against climate change.
- participants by improving the quality and impact of their projects and activities, highlighting identified good practices and helping them to use low-carbon means of transport.
Who we are
The European Commission has set up the new SALTO European Resource Center for Green within the French Erasmus+ Education & Training Agency, operating within the framework of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs.
SALTO Green was launched on March 1, 2023 and is based in Bordeaux in the French Education & Training Agency.
Its team is made up of 4 people: a SALTO coordinator, a pedagogical engineer, a project manager and an administrative assistant for events.
The mission of the SALTO Green Resource Center is to support guidance and training for national agencies and to promote the implementation of the “green priority” in the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs.
SALTO Green also works closely with a network of 54 Green Contact Points and two members of the European Commission. (DG EAC)

What is a Green Contact Point?
There is a network of 54 Green Contact Points in 33 different countries, representing each national agency of the Erasmus+ and ESC programs.
The GCP is in charge of the “Ecological transition and the fight against climate change” priority for his/her national agency. He/she is the point of contact for the SALTO Green resource center and the European Commission. He/she disseminates SALTO Green’s productions and provides feedback to his/her agency.
His role is to reinforce knowledge and promote actions relating to the ecological transition within his agency. They are encouraged to share their expertise and knowledge with their colleagues.
