The green priority
The fight against global warming
In order to fight global warming, the European Union has adopted a strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Entitled the European Green Deal, this strategy is based in part on European programmes, including Erasmus+.
A Commitment to Sustainability
The Erasmus+ 2021-2027 program will strive to limit its own impact on the environment, by promoting sustainable modes of transport and more responsible
behavior, but also by equipping citizens with the skills and competencies needed to contribute to environmental sustainability.
The 3 axes of implementation
Raising awareness and informing about the green transition
SALTO Green informs and raises awareness about climate change and environmental protection, but also educates people about green habits to consider in the Erasmus+ programme and European Solidarity Corps.
Training and developing new green skills
SALTO Green trains national agency staff and project coordinators on sustainability.
The integration of green skills into Erasmus+ projects and the European Solidarity Corps, through tools or resources, is essential for developing environmental education and new green jobs.
Identifying and monitoring green projects
SALTO Green works to make the monitoring of green projects more accessible. Promoting good green practices through tools and resources is also one of its objectives.
Transferring and exchanging expertise
SALTO Green is participating in the creation of a network of professionals working on the green transition around the Erasmus+ programmes and the European Solidarity Corps.
Disseminating and implementing green projects
SALTO Green communicates and promotes progress in green transition in the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes.
