A series of twelve factsheets<\/strong> presents key findings from the Working Group. Designed for teachers, school leaders, teacher educators, and other education professionals<\/strong>,.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They offer guidance on how to strengthen sustainability in school education :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This means integrating sustainability across different aspects of school life<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n It means giving students real opportunities to shape their learning and influence decisions that affect them<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Leadership in schools is about creating a shared vision to a better future. It involves guiding and inspiring staff and students to integrate sustainability into school life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Learn outdoors helps students connect with nature, boost their well-being, and engage more deeply with the world around them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n As students learn more about global challenges, they can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the scale of the problems and unsure about the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Disinformation, Misinformation and Fake news can distort young people\u2019s understanding of climate change and sustainability. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n To teach how to understand the environmental impact of digital technologies \u2014 like energy use and e-waste \u2014 and use digital tools to raise awareness and take action<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n These activities encourage empathy, fairness and inclusion – values that support both citizenship and sustainability<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Embedding sustainability in the curriculum ensures that learners are equipped to understand and respond to pressing societal challenges, both within their communities and in future workplaces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n It can track their progress over time and provide insights into how education systems are performing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Opening the school to the outside world not only brings learning to life but also helps students feel connected to their community and part of a wider effort toward a better future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
